Staircase Rapids Electrical Panel and Building Details
Generator Building
70 amp - main breaker
1. 40 amp - two pole for Ranger station and housing
2. 40 amp – two pole for fee booth, fire cache, and gas house
3. 20 amp – lights
4. 20 amp – one GFCI
Notes
• Inside dimensions of building for fitting of generator 13’6”L x 8’ W x 7’1” H
• Meters have never been read/recorded (no data for consumption)
• 20 Kw standby generators have always produced enough power for Staircase Grid
• Standby generators currently run 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, 6 months of the year, they are shut down at night and run very infrequently in the winter
• Maintenance staff report no tripped breakers due to light load
• Appliances with high energy demand are all on propane (cook tops, refrigerators, dryers etc.)
