140P8122Q0031 Questions and Answers March 28, 2022
Question #1: What does the MAG stands for?
Answer #1: CLASS 2/TYPE 2 ROADBASE - Local rock query calls the class 2 "MAG"
Question #2: The current bid schedule has CLIN 2 is requesting “Minus 6-inch Rif Raf”, and CLIN 3 is requesting Minus 12-inch Rif Raf”. I assume this is a typo error and it is meant to read Minus 6-inch Rip Rap and Minus 12-inch Rip Rap. If so, are you looking for a 6” minus and 12” minus material, or do you want mostly 6” and mostly 12” material?
Answer #2: Yes, was mistype. Rip Rap material.
Question #3: We currently have a source that is suppling a 3” to 9” open graded rock and a 6” to 18” open graded rock to The Hemenway Harbor Launch Ramp Project that we could substitute.
Answer #3: This is acceptable material. Minus 6-inch Rip Rap can be substituted for the 3” to 9” open graded rock. Minus 12-inch Rip Rap can be substituted 6” to 18” open graded rock.
