About this file
This document contains questions and responses regarding a federal contract opportunity to replace roofs at Cape Lookout in North Carolina. The opportunity involves replacing 100% of the fascia boards, rake boards, soffit, and roofing materials on structures located at Great Island with pressure treated lumber and stainless steel hardware. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of all trash, old materials, and debris in accordance with regulations and for transport of any dumpsters over waterways. The winning contractor is not required to have a North Carolina license. Limited lodging is available at a small law enforcement building on site with two bunk beds that can accommodate up to eight people, along with running water, limited electricity, and one bathroom. The contractor must leave the building in the same clean condition and is responsible for any damages incurred during stay.
