Valley Forge National Historical Park Custodial Services 140P4220Q0056

Questions/Answers Question: What has been the average cost of the cleaning budget over the last 3 years and why is it being outsourced now?

Answer: The budget can’t be discussed. With movement of personnel for various reasons, the park is understaffed and can not always keep up with park wide cleaning. Outsourcing these locations enables the current staff to provide more thorough cleaning of other facilities throughout the 3,600 acre park.

Question: There are currently four (4) buildings included as part of this SOW. Is there a possibility of adding the Visitor’s Center, the Washington’s Headquarters, or any other buildings on the Valley Forge property to the SOW, in the future?

Answer: There is no guarantee that any additional buildings will be added.

Question: We were not able to enter several offices inside the Ranger Station, because they contained sensitive information. Will the doors of these offices be clearly marked to indicate the areas that are off limits to contractors?

Answer: Areas of the Ranger Station will be marked to show if they are off limits.

Question: Where are the trash dumpsters located and how many are there? Is there a central trash and recycling collection station?

Answer: There are dumpsters at the maintenance facility. One 30 yard dumpster and one 30 yard recycling dumpster.

Question: Will recycling/trash receptacles be provided by the government?

Answer: Yes, receptacles are currently in use Question: Will toilet seat covers be provided?

Answer: Toilet seat covers are not needed.

Question: Who provides signage indicative of restroom cleaning, etc.?

Answer: Government covers any fees for this background check Question: Is there on-site storage for supplies?

Question: Contractor office space?

Answer: None available Question: Type of toilet paper and soap?
