REVISED Scope of Work (in red) Capulin Volcano National Monument

Install SCADA system

Description:

This work consists of installation of a Mission M852 SCADA (or comparable equal) system and removal of the current inoperable telemetry system on the existing water tank and wellhouse at Capulin Volcano National Monument.

Location:

The project is located in the Capulin Volcano National Monument Visitor Center located at 46 Volcano Road Capulin, New Mexico 88414

Getting to Capulin Volcano National Monument from the City of Raton (Interstate 25) Travel east on Highway 64/87 approximately 25 miles to the Village of Capulin, turn north on NM 325 and proceed approximately 4 miles to the entrance gate. Turn east into the main entrance gate and follow the road approximately 1 mile to the Visitors Center.

SCOPE

Installation of SCADA system:

The contractor will be expected to do the following:

1. Install Two (2) units for system monitoring and control.

a. 1 at well site utilizing existing 120-volt power

b. 1 at tank site utilizing existing solar power

(Do we have to install HMI computers or some other device for monitoring?) Yes

2. Install 1 relay for well control at well site? (Where do we install the relay – in an existing panel at site) In existing panel or on wall inside pumphouse, minimize external visual impact.

3. Program relay for well pump call to run and shutdown for well (What all PLC / HMI software you all are using) There is currently no software. We have an obsolete, inoperative telemetry system.

4. Program digital inputs for well pump run

5. Program digital alarm for well pump fail to run

6. Program alarm inputs for door entry notification at well site

7. Program analog input for tank level to call to run and turn off along with alarm threshold for low and high tank level alarm thresholds.

8. Program input for temperature alarm at well site

9. Install tank and well software program for well pump control on/off and remote control (do you computers on which we shall install these softwares?) Looking for something that is monitored in real time with offsite data storage, similar to the Mission Communications

M850 RTU.

10. Install in tank Water pressure transducer for tank level (what brand of pressure transducer, will get help at site to install this) Brand is not important, just needs to be there to read water levels.

11. Program loss of utility power to unit at well site and solar at tank

12. Program low battery alarm at unit for well and tank

13. Program loss of communication alarm to unit for well

14. Install 18/2 twisted shielded cable for all digital inputs, analog inputs and outputs (where are these cables coming from, are you referring to field wiring: like from instrument to PLC panel) Referring to field wiring from instrument to panel.

15. Startup and commissioning and training (what all needs to be covered in the training) operation, use, maintenance, troubleshooting.

16. Labor and materials (Can we get BOM with part numbers required on the project) Mission Communications M850 RTU or similar system.

Additional Questions/Answers:

• Are there any copies/scans of panel drawings (General Arrangement, Power distribution etc.)? see attached photos

• Are there any copies/scans of modules wiring drawings? see attached photos

• Are there any copies/scans of Plant P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Drawings)? No

• Are there any copies/scans of the Control Philosophy or the Cause and Effect document?

No

• What is/would be the IP rating of the panels? Internal panels, 36, External panels 64.

• How many screens per site are expected? 1

• Any standards for the graphics and color codes for the SCADA system? If visible from outside would need to match coloring of existing structures.

• Is there any preference regarding the choice of SCADA system? I had been researching

Mission MyDro 850 for the simplicity of use and the real time alarms and steaming data functions and off-site storage of information accessible by any device with access to internet.

• Is there any existing wireless (Cellular or Radio) communication device being used? Not currently, there is cell service at both locations.

• Is there any existing communication network? Not in that location.

• How many user groups / privileges required for the SCADA system?2, possibly 3 users

• Is there any copy of backup available for the current system, alarms and events report etc.

from the existing applications? Obsolete/inoperable telemetry system currently in place, can be seen in attached photos.
