BASIS OF AWARD

Bidders shall enter an amount for each item. The Government intends to award one contract for the items listed below to the Contractor who provides the best overall value to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award all, part or none of the contract.

SECTION C – SPECIFICATIONS

SECTION 01010 - SUMMARY OF WORK

PART 1 GENERAL

1.01 SUMMARY

A. Description of Work:

1. Work Covered by Contract Documents:

a. Provide for and furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, certificates, insurance, temporary protection, and other items designated under provisions of this contract necessary to convert 10 pole mpounted parking lot light fixtures to LED at the Mio Ranger District located at 107 McKinley Road, Mio, Michigan, as outlined in the contract specifications.

Contract to be completed by: 30 days from award.

No permits are needed for this contract. Project shall be a service contract.

Site visits shall be coordinated with Bob Magon at the Mio Ranger District, 989-826-3252.

Forest Service will not be providing a lift to access fixtures.

All work shall meet Manufacturers Specifications, NEC 2017, and Forest Service Specifications. In the case of conflict use the requirement which is more protective.

Copies of manufacturers product specifications and installation instructions shall be submitted to the CO prior to the start of work.

Work area shall be cleaned up at the end of each work day. .

All employees working on project shall be paid in accordance with applicable Department of Labor Regulations Davis Bacon Act Wages which are attached to this bid package.

Exisiting fixtures are KIM VLA25W3400MH208 and VLA25W5400MH208 mounted on 30’ poles.

Contractor shall be responsible for proper disposal of existing lamps, ballasts, and all other items no longer needed for a complete functional product.

Fixtures shall be converted to LED providing minimum 13,000 lumens, 5000K, fully enclosed rated, and 5 year minimum warranty.
