About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a federal contract solicitation to repair roads in the Tipsaw Recreation Area in Perry County, Indiana. The solicitation seeks to remove existing road materials and conduct repairs outlined in the attached plans and specifications. The project involves several sections of Tipsaw recreation roads and campgrounds. One question asks about areas marked as not to be milled, which would be 1 inch lower than milled areas - the answer states to increase the areas not milled by 1 inch so the road surface remains uniform without dips or humps at transition points. Overlay areas will have either 1.5 or 2.5 inches of new material applied depending on the repair method. The sponsoring agency is the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
