Text version

Question - The RO SOW states: "9. e. The maximum water consumption is estimated to be 12 gal/sf/of media/day" For all 10 evaporative pads (media), the cited total area is 882 sf x 12 equals 10,584 gal/day.

Is it the intent that the RO should have design "output" capacity of 120% of 10,584 gal/day?

Answer - The maximum water consumption of 12 gal/sf/of media/day is to be used to estimate the total amount of water that must be handled by the system each day. The amount of make-up water required due to evaporation would be between 1 to 2 gallons/sf/of media/day. This information is for estimating purposes. Prior to the start of any construction the Contractor shall engage the services of a Licensed Professional Engineer to design a functional R/O demineralized water plant and distribution systems.
