On the base bid:

Can the 18” valves be butterfly rather than Gate valves.? Yes

What type of valve cans are used Can we assume Tyler union 6855 slip type ETC.? Tyler union 6855 slip is the type intended… base, upper section, cover traffic rated ductile Iron Pipe.

What type of flange gaskets are used NS61 EDPM or Red Rubber full face? Install gaskets provided/required by pipe manufacturer to complete connection for potable water use.

Where is the FDC located? New FDC will replace existing FDC next to main entrance at from of building… shown on sheet 3.

On drawing FS-1.00 addendum #2:

How are the 8” fire line and 6” domestic water attach to the 8” line from the reservoir? The 8” and 6” lines do not connect. There are two separate lines coming down the hill, one is for the fire system from one tank and the other is potable water from the water tank.

What is the 4” fire loop for and where does it go and is it DIP? The 4” fire loop is the existing line providing water to the fire hydrant loop being replaced.

Can we assume the ball valves shown on the drawing are gate valve, since 8” and 6” ball valves do not exist? Yes.

Are the “CAP FOR FUTURE USE “ Lines 8” & 6” respectfully ? Yes.

Are there any dimension available for these lines? See previous.

What is the angle of the bends on the 8” fire line? Doesn’t matter as they are not being replaced, that was work done in a previous contract. This drawing was to reference where the vault is located and what is coming out of it.
