Statement of Work:

Seven Lakes Fence 2021

Introduction The Seven Lakes Fence project is located in Sweetwater County, WY. The work includes removing 4.3 miles of existing barbed 3-wire lay-down fence with cedar posts and installing a wildlife friendly four-wire fence with 3 barbed wires, 1 smooth bottom wire, and metal t-posts. The fence is accessible via County Road 23. To the East of the county road is approximately 3.6 miles of fence accessible via a crowned and ditched dirt road, that ends near Lost Creek Uranium mine. To the West of the county road is the remaining 0.7 miles of fence which is accessible via a 2-tracked road.

The fence is along a section line and therefore a number of corner marker monuments can be seen along the fence line. Some are marked by a t-post and some are not. It is the contractor’s responsibility to not damage these monuments and it is recommended that they are flagged for greater visibility.

The fence line crosses perpendicular to a pipeline near the county road. It is the contractor’s responsibility to contact Wyoming One Call and have the utility located.

There is a rain gauge located along the fence line, on the Eastern segment. It is also marked on an attached map. Please avoid disturbing this rain gauge as it is used to collect rangeland rainfall data.

Location From the town of Wamsutter, take County Road 23 North for approximately 29 miles. The fence intersects the county road at the cattle guard. Alternately, from Rawlins, Mineral Exploration road of Highway 287 can be taken to reach the site.
