About this file
This document is a product data sheet for an Ethernet/IP connector system manufactured by MG Squared, Inc., associated with Invitation to Bid #075-26 for ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) Parts and Components. The document appears to be related to a specific camera power signal cable connector designed for outdoor transportation infrastructure applications.
The product is a CLDMG2-PLSIP6*3 Lowering Unit connector with an alternate Ethernet contact connector, specifically engineered for camera lowering devices. The connector features a heavy-duty outdoor-rated design with a gasketed corrosion-resistant metal housing, capable of supporting up to 1000 Base-T applications. It contains 36 total contacts, including 27 for CAT6-Shielded Ethernet connections and 3 for 14AWG non-Ethernet cable. Each gold-plated contact has a minimum 0.0625" diameter, maximum current rating of 13 amps, and is designed to provide sealed protection against dust and moisture in both mated and un-mated conditions.

Invitation to Bid# 075-26
Description: Lowering Unit with Alternate Ethernet Contact Connector
Manufacturer: MG Squared
Model No: CLDMG2-PLSIP6*3
The connector block consist of outdoor-rated heavy duty material with male and female matched body parts that mate together to make an electrical connection between the composite cable and the camera housing when the camera is fully raised and locked. The connector shall be shielded environmentally as well as for IP communications.
The connector is tested and verified for up to 1000 Base-T Applications.
MG2 CAT6a Shielded Ethernet/IP connectors are specifically designed for outdoor use within the disconnect unit of the MG2 camera lowering device (CLD).
The CLDMG2-PLSIP6 Molded Polymer connector bodies are encased within a gasketed corrosion-resistant metal housing with camera specific insert modules mounted within the retaining frame. All current carrying male pin and female socket contacts shall be heavy duty Copper Alloy and Gold Plated. Each of the gold plated contacts measures
0.0625” (1/16”) min. outside diameter. The female sockets are sized accordingly to match the male counterpart.
The contact connector contains a maximum of 36 contacts. 27 of the 36 contacts for three separate CAT6-Shielded Ethernet connections. 3 of the 36 contact may be used with (3) 14AWG non-Ethernet cable. Contacts are present for each function / communication method that the specified camera provides. The maximum current rating for each pin shall be at least 13 amps. Signal and power wires are crimped with an industry stand-ard 8-point crimp tool.
