About this file

This is a plan and scope of work document prepared by Pegasus Engineering, LLC for the State of Florida, related to Small Scale Stormwater Improvement Project No. 6 (Bid No. 01-20), specifically for pipeline rehabilitation work in the Hayman Court area of the Summerhaven subdivision. The project involves the rehabilitation of existing storm water pipes showing signs of failure through the installation of resin-impregnated cured-in-place pipe (RICIPP) liners. The work encompasses approximately 578 linear feet of 18-inch HDPE pipeline rehabilitation distributed across four sections, with lengths of approximately 75, 240, 63, and 180 linear feet. The scope requires contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the rehabilitation work, including pre-installation cleaning, video inspection, bypass pumping, obstruction removal, and post-installation testing. The document represents 90% plans prepared in June 2019 and sealed by David W. Hamstra, P.E. (Registration No. 38652).

The contractor is responsible for performing all installation work using either hydraulic head inversion or pull-and-inflate methods, with curing accomplished through hot water circulation or other approved methods to ensure a continuous, watertight, and properly formed finished pipe. Additional required services include reestablishment of services, pre- and post-installation television inspection, connections, testing, and final inspections. The project is identified as Bid Package #5 within the broader Small Scale Stormwater Improvement initiative. No specific pricing information, set-asides, award dates, or contract term details are provided in this technical document; those details would be contained in the separate bid documents and contract specifications referenced in the solicitation.

SCOPE OF WORK FOR PIPELINE REHABILITATION

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the Rehabilitation of storm water lines by the installation of a resin-impregnated flexible felt tube, which is inverted into the existing conduit by use of hydraulic head. Where inversion is not appropriate, a pull and inflate method will be acceptable.

Curing shall be accomplished by circulating hot water (or other approved method) within the liner tube to cure the encapsulated resin system.

When cured, the finished pipe will be continuous, watertight, and formed to the original conduit.

Cleaning and inspections of conduits, bypass pumping, line obstruction removal, reestablishment of services, pre-installation video recording, installation of Resin Impregnated Cured-in-Place Pipe (RICIPP) including installation television inspection, post-installation video recording, connections, testing and final inspections are all part of this work.
