Scope of Work The Ohio Department of Transportation is procuring a list of acceptable vendors offering scheduling and dispatching software for transit agencies in Ohio. This contract may be used by any transit agency or transit provider, including 100+ urban, rural, public, and private transit agencies.

TransTuitive™ There are exciting developments in the transit scheduling world. These developments include the development of affordable and versatile software to handle the ever-expanding needs and expectations for passengers. More communities and transit agencies are embracing cooperative buying agreements to add these services and conveniences for passengers. Similar to the provisions of this proposal, Kevadiya recently contracted to provide these services for up to 27 transit agencies in the State of North Dakota where transit vehicles are often required to cross county lines and long expanses to serve passengers.

For North Dakota and for dozens of other federal, state, and local entities, Kevadiya created the

TransTuitive™ system. TransTuitive™ provides a transit scheduling solution that is both simple to manage for system administrators and simple to navigate for passengers. Highlights include:

In use by millions of passengers through federal, state, and local transit scheduling contracts

Versatile - can be used for paratransit, fixed-route, and/or on-demand scheduling

Intuitively designed for ease of use by administrators, dispatchers, drivers, and passengers

Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) yet highly customizable

Able to be integrated and operational within months or even weeks of contract award

Time-tested reliability with 99.9% uptime

Agency-branded, streamlined app created for use by passengers of all skill levels

Scalable to accommodate future needs

Adaptable to existing applications with use of API

Massive reporting functionality can be tailored to individual needs and government requirements

The ability of TransTuitive to meet the very specific needs of each agency or region of the state is a result of having this system deployed in so many parts of the country. Should agencies wish to engage in inter-county services, for example, TransTuitive can easily provide a solution. For paratransit passengers in particular, this could mean the ability to visit medical or specialized service providers outside their immediate geographical area.

This submission will explain in greater detail Kevadiya’s proven, comprehensive, and award-winning technical solution to meet the Ohio Department of Transportation's needs. This includes a highly reliable scheduling system, a simple yet sophisticated application for passengers, and the most cost-effective COTS system on the market.

TransTuitive™ In Greater Detail Kevadiya's TransTuitive™ core transportation library, expert training practices, and best-in-class customer support have provided productive solutions to millions of users over the last 14 years.

We pride ourselves on communication with clients and successfully turning their feedback into more efficient practices for meeting the common needs of the passenger transportation industry.

TransTuitive™ is a highly efficient, secure, and customizable platform, making it easy for any transit agency to build an optimal transit service operation. Demand Response, fixed route, microtransit, and paratransit are fully integrated into the TransTuitive™ platform and, by using them, transit agencies can configure the system for their respective needs. The TransTuitive platform also offers a highly sought-after maintenance portal and partner portal.

Our TransTuitive™ transit management software system provides a complete ecosystem;

designed and developed using the latest cloud technologies. It is maintained and securely managed by our highly qualified professionals with zero downtime maintenance deployments.

The system is successfully deployed at over 150 nationwide locations, including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, serving millions of passengers and rides every year. Our team at Kevadiya takes pride in ensuring the success of all our clients via maintaining best-in-class support, which is provided as regular training to operational staff. Training modes include new features, new employees, and training on-demand as required by the operational team.

Furthermore, Kevadiya understands from our extensive experience working on both state/local and federal contracts that every agency has unique requirements for their scheduling and dispatching solution. Although we propose using our TransTuitive™ system, we also allow for adaptivity beyond our standard, off-the-shelf solution and can customize based on the each transit agency’s needs. And although there may be requirements that ODOT has for their preferred solution that TransTuitive™ does not currently employ, we have the ability to modify our system to reflect the customization needed for each transit agency's unique workflows and standards.

The Kevadiya Demand Response Software solution is a fully integrated, cloud-based, Software as a Service (SaaS) solution which can meet the needs of any transit agency for all of its passenger registration, trip requesting, scheduling, dispatching, and maintenance.

Manage Page TransTuitive™ uses rules and permission-based access as specified and set up by the Transit System administrators and can be accessed by administrators, dispatchers, and users. As they log into the software solution, the first page loaded is the Manage Dashboard page. Navigation is simple and intuitive with the main subpage selections along the left side of the page and tabs for the selection of tasks to be performed within the Manage Page itself.

The Manage Page is the primary navigation portal for managing each transit agency's overall planning environment. Within the Manage Page, system administrators can set up and manage the transportation solution environment, set up their organization's profile of services, and select the specific parameters for their organization. System administrators can select the Roles tab to establish new organizational roles and role types specific to their organization. (e.g., Drivers, Transportation Coordinators, Mobility Managers, etc.) Administrators only have to establish permissions for these roles once and the level of access for each user is then determined. Thus each user is limited to the specific section of TransTuitive™ they need to do their job.

The Manage Page is also where Drivers’ profiles and schedules can be managed, vehicle profiles and maintenance logs are accessed and maintained, funding sources are established and tracked, and the core transportation authorities’ characteristics are initially set up and maintained.

Driver Application Kevadiya has architected and integrated complete telematics and communication solutions for multiple agencies, including configuring hardware, software, installation, and training to provide a comprehensive solution to transportation agency needs. Kevadiya can provide full systems, integrate within existing environments, and connect to the admin portal through multiple communication providers including cellular, satellite, or both.

Within the TransTuitive™ system and Re-usable Architecture Framework, we have modules for sending and receiving data for performance, maintenance and repair, GPS and location, geo-fencing, driver communications, and more. Additionally, rider names, pick-up times, addresses, and any other messages are communicated in real-time to drivers. Kevadiya's system will work with any tablet, but the TransTuitive™ Mobile Data Tablet (MDT) unit provides the most robust and comprehensive solution to the transit agency.

The Driver Dashboard is the main screen that allows the driver to navigate through to see the entire driver manifest which shows the daily status of pending trips, completed trips, unhandled trips, turn-by-turn real-time routing, passenger profiles, and more. The driver can access pending trips and start a run. The driver’s schedule for the day is organized into runs. A run contains passenger information, stop information, and notes that were created by the administrative portal coordinators and then dispatched to the MDT tablet automatically.

This information can be updated in real-time. Runs can contain multiple stops as scheduled by the trip coordinator. For each stop, the driver can access additional information as needed for the next leg of the run. The Driver Application and MDT unit provide mapping and navigational directions for the driver.

The MDT will utilize both HERE and Google maps for its mapping and navigation framework. By utilizing several map providers, the system can navigate the fastest, shortest and alternative routes based on time of day and traffic congestion. The MDT unit provides the driver with a performance screen highlighting the trips, routes, type of passengers and other information for monitoring. The MDT unit provides communications to the driver from the dispatcher. Messages are sent to the MDT unit with an audible alert notifying the driver of the incoming messages. The driver can then access and respond to the messages via text message or through a canned message that was established by the transit agency.

Scheduling When scheduling on-demand trips, the Trips Tab is utilized to determine the purpose of the trip, the funds to be used for the type of trip, and to note any special seating arrangements or vehicle features needed for the trip (e.g., wheelchair ramps, companion seats, double seat belts, bike racks, etc.). Users can also determine trip frequency: individual or recurring trips and add any special comments for the driver (e.g., pick Mr. Smith up at the back of his home). There is also a flexible pin drop for the map to further simplify the driver's job finding the pickup location.

Once these parameters and notes have been added to the Trips Tab, users can select the

Schedule Tab on the Left Side Bar to schedule the trip to run by selecting one of three methods:

auto-scheduling, where the system will fit the trip onto existing runs by using the most efficient means; manually, where the user will still have suggestions from the system for optimal placements; or by injecting the trip onto a run due to circumstances that might make the most sense.

The schedule guides the drivers and vehicles onto a predetermined route. This information is sent to the Driver Application on the MDT, where drivers can review and execute the schedule as soon as users save their changes. KVD has included pricing for the option of new, upgraded tablets as part of our solution. Because our suggested tablets are the most updated on the market, they will provide the greatest return on investment as this solution is implemented.

Users will primarily update passenger information, create trip requests, and work with the

Schedule Page in the Admin Portal. Users can get a full view of all vehicle scheduling on the main

Schedule Page.

Figure 2: Schedule Page

Fixed Route Scheduling TransTuitive can be used for fixed route scheduling as well. The same technology that allows for the ease of use by dispatchers and maintenance crews can be applied to the entire bus fleet.

Furthermore, the reporting features of TransTuitive™ provide data to administrators and fleet managers to help them schedule all services more efficiently, from vehicle runs to tune-ups.

There are a number of efficiencies that would be created by integrating Fixed Route service, first and foremost is passenger convenience. That is followed by ease of administration as dispatchers and managers would need to be trained on only one system. Users find TransTuitive™ easy to learn and easy to employ. A single source for training and customer service eliminates the need to learn duplicate systems. One well-designed system can address all transit needs.

Dispatching The primary navigation tool for dispatchers is right on the side bar. From here, they can manage the day-to-day operations of working with passengers, take trip and reservation requests, set up schedules, and monitor the real-time location of vehicles. Mapping and reporting features are also located here. For simplicity, all service environments (demand route, paratransit, and/or fixed route) associated with trip planning and scheduling are managed here.

The TransTuitive™ system uses proprietary state-of-the-art scheduling algorithms to perform real-time scheduling and optimization. The scheduler will automatically take your trips and resources and build out optimal schedules for your drivers. The optimal route, order of trips, and assignment of the trips to the vehicle will be calculated in real-time using the latest road and traffic data. The AI-based optimizer algorithm will minimize the non-revenue travel time and passenger wait time, as well as ensure any organizational constraints (e.g., required travel resources, vehicle capacity, service hours, driver shift, break time, etc.) are met. This feature is fully customizable for each agency's needs at the service level, allowing the organization to use the same platform for all transportation services.

For all available services, agencies can configure to:

• Schedule service times and dates

• Create geofences

• Enable or disable automatic scheduling

• Set driver schedules

• Set driver breaks

• Schedule driver training

• Compare preferred scheduling

• Allow changes to addresses and stops

• Enable or disable passenger self-service

• Require passengers to be at the pick-up location for self-service

The dispatch portion of the TransTuitive™ system provides a multitude of features to handle the day-to-day operations of any size transportation agency. The automated system enables a dispatcher to schedule and manage passengers efficiently and effortlessly. Within the scheduling environment, a dispatcher can find passengers quickly by searching by first name, last name, or

ID. The system will auto-populate each passenger and all the criteria designations associated with the passenger such as eligibility, current address, discounts, and trip cost calculations.

A trip preview will allow the dispatcher to see the estimated duration, distance, and cost before confirming the trip. The dispatcher can utilize the optimized route builder to create custom routes that are based on the passengers' and/or organizations' needs.

Dispatchers can create individual plans for passengers with specific needs by using features in the system such as the quick subscription for trips that are recurring, selecting preferred service times for passengers who have time restraints, and adding notes with vital information pertaining to passenger needs (e.g., pick up at the back door of the home). The system will automatically save these preferences for each passenger, allowing for a straightforward scheduling and dispatching process.

Mapping and Testing Changes TransTuitive™ uses an intuitive approach to mapping areas and routes for our clients.

Geographical data is used to establish catchment areas specific to each organization’s needs and maps are generated and uploaded to the system. By creating geographical areas, our vector-formed maps reduce the required bandwidth while requesting map data tiles. All maps are included in the price of the contract.

TransTuitive™ uses multi-source mapping solutions to provide the best-in-class and most accurate GIS mapping and routing data. Our map provider sources include HERE and Google

Maps so the ability to identify approximate current locations is simple and straightforward.

Administrators will schedule a point-to-point run and a map will be generated for the driver.

Once the driver logs into their MDT unit, they can access all the maps they will need for that day’s runs. Using HERE and Google maps ensures adequate updating of our maps and provides access to features and attributes such as speed limits, one-way roads, physical features that act as barriers, zoom functioning, route distance, timing, etc. Our solution can also be customized to display point files such as landmarks, public transit stops, major transfer points, etc. and allow for overlays and layers.

Users can apply the Draw Route feature to draw the desired route onto the map, fine-tune each new route with stops, reduce wait times, alter route direction, and plan the number of rounds to be completed. Block-and-run cutting tools allow the user to split the route into separate sections and assign different legs of the route to different drivers and/or vehicles. TransTuitive™ uses chained processes for geocoding to ensure the accuracy. Our approach guarantees the best geocoding/reverse geocoding and routing options for our clients. Our GIS subsystem will include a legend of all layers included.

Figure 3: Mapping Screen

Fare Payment Integration There are several options for fare collection to appeal to the varying comfort levels and accessbility status of passengers. Since NEORide uses Masabi for their electronic fare collection, Kevadiya can integrate that app into the TransTuitive mobile payment system. Using the

TransTuitive mobile app, passengers can purchase an electronic ticket and store it in the wallet feature. Alternatively, a passenger can purchase a physical ticket by requesting it through a global fare system portal, requesting it through the mobile app, or purchasing one in person from a retail partnering outlet. Just as Akron METRO saw increased use of EZFare once electronic ticketing became available, many of Kevadiya's clients have found a similar uptick in their convenient branded mobile apps.

Passengers can also purchase a ticket over the phone and have an electronic ticket delivered to their mobile device or pick the ticket up at the terminal. When configuring the TransTuitive™ system, the transit agency can apply different ticketing parameters based on the organization’s needs, such as a specified dollar amount, a specified number of rides, and/or a specified time.

The Kevadiya TransTuitive™ system allows each transit agency to build a cost model within the system that aligns with their billing priorities and can be customized in the future as the agency evolves from their current punch card/cash system.

Additionally, TransTuitive™ has built-in integration APIs and utilizes the Square® payment system backend for transportation authorities to process real-time passenger payments. Agencies can establish an account with Square directly and Kevadiya will integrate the TransTuitive™ solution to fit the parameters. The MDT accepts the Square Reader devices for magstripe and chip contactless payments. Square® provides the hardware agency's need to accept all major credit cards, NFC payments, gift cards, and more. Funding sources are established and tracked on the

Manage Page. For agencies that accept payment on pickup, this provides a convenient means for passengers to pay on the go.

TransTuitive can be adjusted to meet the individual fare and ticketing needs of each participating transit agency. Kevadiya has found that once passengers experience the convenience of

TransTuitive™, they are happy to explore other system functions, like payment options. While there is no one-size solution for every client, the multi-tiered payment system allows the greatest flexibility with the most convenience for passengers, drivers, and transit managers.

Partner Portal Additionally, Kevadiya has developed a Partner Portal for the TransTuitive™ system to improve the process in which third-party affiliates connect with respective transportation agencies. A vendor can now request a trip simply by filling out a trip request form that is automatically directed to the Transit Agencies’ Administration Portal.

The TransTuitive™ Partner Portal allows third-party affiliates to access and manage their clients’:

• Trip requests

• Funds

• Funding sources and transactions

• Data pertaining to trips

In the Partner Portal, a vendor can view various details pertaining to their clients’ trips, such as the completed trip history for the week, upcoming scheduled trips, and the on-time trip performance. The Partner Portal helps to streamline the trip scheduling process by allowing the vendor to request a trip for their client and then be notified by the agency of the acceptance or rejection of the trip request. Updated trip information (e.g., cancellations, a change in pick-up or drop-off time, etc.) can be accessed by the vendor.

Figure 4: TransTuitive™ Mobile App

Reporting TransTuitive™ has a host of reporting features that are available and can be tailored to fit the needs of each transit agency. Standardized reporting used for trip hours, on-time performance, trip payment, etc. is already established in the system and is in alignment with required National

Transportation Database (NTD) reporting requirements.

Additionally, the Ad Hoc module reporting provides customized reports based on any data fields established within the solution including productivity by major zones, trips paid for by credit card, etc. Reports are available in multiple formats including Excel spreadsheets.

Federally required reports are built into the TransTuitive™ canned reporting system, with all references built off Federal reporting requirements. Additionally, agencies can build any and all reports to adhere to state and local requirements using this tool. Ad Hoc reports support defining custom filters on each field to provide users with the ability to generate reports with desired data. Each report field supports a variety of different operators and tools to define filters.

The scheduled reports are saved and available for download later. The report scheduling system can schedule delivery for any frequency—once only, daily, weekly, monthly, or any combination.

Filters that have been created for a report are also available for selecting different filter conditions when scheduling or downloading a report. This allows users to easily reuse a report template for a variety of reasons without requiring a change to the template.

Figure 5: Passenger Reporting Screen

Figure 6: Customizable Scheduled Reporting

Flexibility for State and Federal Eligibility and Funding Changes The system will auto-populate each passenger and all the criteria designations associated with the passenger such as eligibility (including ADA), current address, discounts, and trip cost calculations. Any changes in state or federal regulations that would affect passenger eligibility requirements can be easily accommodated in the system. Funding changes are likewise easily added to the system and can be seen and managed by ODOT agencies, clients, their caregivers, and/or partner agencies.

Kevadiya offers included maintenance and updates throughout the life of the contract. There are no additional costs associated with these updates. We operate in a continuous development and integration environment, all changes, enhancements, bug fixes, and general updates will be first tested in the Staging environment and approved by agencies prior to updating the software.

Training Kevadiya delivers training for all aspects of the solution. We will provide instructor-led, classroom-based training sessions and high-quality instructional material prepared by experts.

Our interactive and small target sessions are broken down into logical groups of functionalities.

Each training module will be split into two parts: instructional and hands-on exercises.

Kevadiya believes the best way to learn is through use of the new system, not just lectures and demonstrations. The functionality must be experienced by its users to understand the system’s navigability and features. Trip Coordinators, dispatchers, and managers all retain information at a higher rate through a guided, in-person exploration of the functions. Additionally, Kevadiya will provide each agency with remote training in two formats. First, we will provide instructor-led, web-based training utilizing WebEx, GoToMeeting, or other approved web conferencing tools.

Second, we will provide an on-demand, self-paced video training series.

Kevadiya provides links within the application to the video series for users to access at any time.

While training is vital for quickly bringing users on board, there is no substitute for good help and documentation. Within the application, help manual assistance is integrated as a part of various workflows and application functionality. An integrated, searchable User Manual allows users to search for help without leaving the application. Our offline help includes PDF versions of user manuals, FAQs, and short how-to videos with descriptions of common tasks.

Technical Support Kevadiya and the TransTuitive™ team will provide 24/7/365 support through its Help Desk and after-hours Technical Support. The Help Desk hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00

AM Eastern Time Zone to 8:00PM Eastern Time Zone. Calls received after physically manned hours of operation will be forwarded to our technical representatives who will respond within a

15-minute window from receipt of notification.

Additionally, issues and tickets can be logged via support@kevadiya.comand will be responded to within 24 hours of receipt of the request. All service tickets are logged into our JIRA environment and tracked throughout our debug, resolution, and close processes. We will provide follow-up analysis that will include reporting on issues that require system enhancements, upgrades, and continual development for all customer support inquiries. Furthermore, Kevadiya will work to establish a mutually agreeable Service Level Agreement (SLA). Upon award, Kevadiya will provide our standard SLA to build upon.

Additional Features

Internal Interactive Voice Response TransTuitive™ includes an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology that allows riders to manage their trips by using their phones. Our APIs integrate the Twilio IVR system for maximum efficiency. As Twilio IVR charges per minute variable cost usage fees, each agency would need to establish an account with Twilio directly. They could then customize the IVR to fit the desired parameters in which Kevadiya will then integrate into the TransTuitive™ solution. A registered passenger (registered via the Passenger Portal) can then create and confirm trips using a phone.

The system then allows a computer back-end to interact with humans through the use of voice and dual-tone multi-frequency signaling tones (i.e. from smartphones) input via a phone keypad.

Passengers can simply talk or press buttons on their smartphones to create and confirm trips.

The application is simple to understand and even easier to use.

Maintenance Portal Kevadiya has developed a Vehicle Maintenance Portal within our TransTuitive™ framework that enables primary parties to manage the maintenance and services needed for your fleet. The module includes the capability for creating and monitoring work orders, time tracking for each task, part orders, and inventory management. This portal can be accessed from any standard PC or tablet.

Work orders are created automatically in the system if a vehicle fails a driver’s inspection or if a scheduled mileage maintenance is due. Work orders can also be manually created by maintenance staff as needed. Supervisors can assign work orders to staff, track the amount of time maintenance took to complete, and view the number and type of parts required to complete the work order.

The inventory system is fully integrated with the maintenance portal so the maintenance team can keep track of various inventory levels, parts on order to prevent duplicate orders, and a full audit log of who is checking items out of inventory. The inventory system allows maintenance managers to be automatically notified when a part reaches critical stock so that the part may be ordered before it affects vehicle maintenance.

Timeline for Installation Because TransTuitive™ has been in use for years and has been continuously updated according to client needs, a fully functional, well-oiled system can be deployed for new customers within a matter of weeks. Depending on individual agency needs, Kevadiya can have a new system up and running in less than a month from contract award.

Relevant Qualifications and Experience Kevadiya has delivered solutions for fixed route, paratransit, and demand response technology to dozens of jurisdictions across the United States. These solutions have crossed the bounds of technologies, platforms, and architectures. KVD has devised embedded systems, mobile applications, and enterprise distributed applications.

Kevadiya has been heavily involved in meeting transit needs for counties throughout Michigan and has been building transportation management systems to address existing gaps. We were awarded a contract by Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS) to develop their

Transit Management Software Replacement (TMSR). Kevadiya’s TransTuitive™ solution provides

Saginaw with a service covering Fixed Route, Demand Response and Paratransit services.

The proposal incorporated known costs for hardware, software, cloud hosting, and maintenance.

STARS primary stated goal was to develop “ways to decrease call volumes, and help dispatchers efficiently route and schedule calls all the while increasing business and services.” Kevadiya provided the full suite of TransTuitive™ products and services to Saginaw along with added functionality relating to locally specific requirements, including the MDTs and the Maintenance and Partner Portals. The close geographical location between Kevadiya and Saginaw allows us to provide quick and effective service to Saginaw STARS.

Kevadiya TransTuitive™ Software needed to work with the STARS fleet to provide rides and route scheduling that increased efficiency in terms of function and economics of fixed-route, demand-response/paratransit, and NEMT public transportation services for the whole system. STARS’ secondary goal was to upgrade and/or replace existing software and add mobile software and hardware to their fleet management system. STARS faced many challenges affecting the economic climate and quality of life of the residents they serve and their ability to provide an effective transportation system. STARS’s existing capacity limited ridership on all its core services such as fixed-routes, and on-demand routes.

As part of its strategy to increase capacity, STARS sought to institute services with a higher technology level, alleviating pressure on their traditional resources. Additionally, with the

Michigan Transportation Connection brokerage utilizing TransTuitive™, Saginaw STARS was able to easily integrate their TransTuitive™ system with the brokerage, providing additional benefits to Saginaw’s riders. Saginaw STARS has been utilizing the full suite of TransTuitive™ products for over 4 years with exemplary results.

Rides to Wellness is a comprehensive non-emergency medical transportation program that provides mobility management, door-to-door service, and same day service to riders going to medical or other health and wellness related appointments through the Demand Response service in the TransTuitive™ system. Using cutting edge technology and a ride hailing like model, Rides to Wellness is provided through service agreements with local agencies and medical providers.

Mass Transit Authority's (MTA) Rides to Wellness program now provides over 22,000 monthly rides and 135 vehicles to hospitals and doctor offices, an over ten-fold growth from MTA’s starting point of 2,000 monthly rides and 10 vehicles. The TransTuitive™ software gave Rides to

Wellness the capability to maintain above 90% on-time performance. Additionally, the close geographical location between Kevadiya and the Flint MTA allowed us to provide quick and effective service in the case of any issues.

Shortly after the successful launch of Rides to Wellness in Flint, Kevadiya was awarded a contract to provide the same software solution for Jackson, Michigan. Currently that provides the Jackson senior and disabled community nearly 8900 rides per year. And because the TransTuitive System includes an extensive Partner Portal, local agencies such as MDHHS, Region 2 Area Agency on

Aging, Family Services and Children's Aid, disAbility Connections, Henry Ford, and Allegra are able to coordinate services and payment for their clients. Those clients then ride for free.

The MTA Rides to Wellness NEMT is a web-based solution that allows for scheduling of rides while optimizing vehicle routes to best serve the community. The solution provides dispatchers with a real-time eye on the vehicle routes and schedules, allowing for modification automatically or manually for the daily schedules. Riders can request schedules either via a website, mobile app and or call in to an R2W scheduler. Additionally, information is provided to the drivers via an

MDT unit that provides the daily manifest, passenger information, real-time routing, and communications. This allows for changing requests and real-time information can be communicated in providing the best service to the riders.

On a national scale, Kevadiya has been working with the United States Department of Veterans

Affairs (VA) since 2016 to develop and now maintain the VetRide system. The VA solicited for a

Veteran’s Transportation Platform that could replace its variety of separate processes, tools, and technologies used by various VA hospitals’ transportation units. The system required a turnkey solution that could replace their internally deployed solutions, migrate the data, and integrate with VA’s internal systems such as EMR, budget tool, invoicing and payments, bene-travel verifications, single sign-on, id.me, vets.me, and VetText, to name a few.

The VA required a product fully integrated into the VA infrastructure which would handle Fixed and Demand Response Routes, and Kevadiya delivered a comprehensive solution in the form of the TransTuitive™ system.

VetRide was developed in two phases:

1. Quick to market to replace the existing systems

2. Sustainable architecture and design for integration.

VetRide saw the development of the real-time tracking functionality of TransTuitive™, allowing users to see real time arrival and departure times, as well as vehicle locations through both cellular and as a benefit to rural areas, satellite communication. VetRide supports thousands of administrative users and 22 million Veterans using it across the nation. The fully secured VetRide system received its full ATO (Authority to Operate) in 2016. This made Kevadiya the first organization the VA trusted to host their data outside a VA data center. This was not only a remarkable achievement for our development team, but it was also a strong indicator of our processes and practices.
