About this vehicle
The Intelligent Facility & Security Systems and Solutions state-wide contract is a comprehensive procurement vehicle designed to provide advanced technology and security infrastructure solutions across New York State. The contract covers a wide range of intelligent facility and security systems, including alarm systems, building automation systems, access control systems, fire alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and emergency notification technologies. Structured with two distinct lots, the contract offers agencies flexible procurement options: Lot 1 focuses on equipment procurement, while Lot 2 encompasses a full range of services including equipment, installation, integration, and maintenance. The contract utilizes specific classification codes 32, 43, 46, and 92 to categorize available technologies and is organized across nine geographic regions of New York, enabling targeted and efficient technology acquisitions.
The contract was awarded by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) on August 27, 2019, with a comprehensive performance period extending through August 26, 2034. The contract is available to all state agencies and non-state agencies within New York, providing broad accessibility across the state. Multiple prime contractors have been selected, including notable companies such as Honeywell International, Johnson Controls, Siemens Industry, Motorola Solutions, and numerous regional technology and security system integrators. The contract type is classified as Technology, and it covers the entire state of New York, offering a standardized procurement mechanism for intelligent facility and security system solutions.
The contract includes significant diversity and inclusion goals, mandating 15% Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) participation, 15% Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) participation, and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) participation. While specific total contract value was not provided, the 15-year duration and broad geographic coverage suggest a substantial strategic procurement initiative. Authorized users are required to consult the contract's "How-to-Use" guide for proper utilization, which provides detailed instructions on accessing equipment and services. The multiple awards approach allows agencies to conduct competitive "Second Tier Competitions" or engage directly with contractors, providing flexibility in procurement processes.
