About this contract

The Washington State Statewide Contract 18222 provides comprehensive Spoken Language Interpreter Services across three primary service categories. These categories include In-Person Interpreting (IPI), Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI), and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI), each offering both prescheduled standard and rush options, as well as on-demand services for OPI and VRI. The contract specifically supports non-bargaining unit work and focuses on consecutive interpretation mode, excluding transcription and sign language services. Designed as part of the Language Access Program, the contract enables state agencies to access professional interpretation services with flexibility across multiple delivery formats.

The contract is awarded to Prisma International, Inc. and is administered by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, with a performance period from December 11, 2023, to December 11, 2026. As a statewide contract, it covers interpretation services for multiple languages including Chinese, Yiddish, Vietnamese, Romanian, and Ukrainian. The contract incorporates opportunities for small, OMWBE, and veteran-owned businesses as subcontractors or authorized resellers. While specific total contract value is not provided, the three-year term and comprehensive service offering suggest a significant scope of potential interpretation services for Washington state government entities.
