About this award
AshBritt, Inc., headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida, has been awarded Contract RFP/SC-SBE 26-PROS1-139529 by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property, to provide comprehensive land debris removal services for disaster response operations. The contract, which became effective July 1, 2024, and extends through June 30, 2027, encompasses four primary service categories: land debris removal for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)-eligible disasters under 500,000 cubic yards; land debris removal for FEMA-eligible disasters exceeding 500,000 cubic yards; land debris removal for non-FEMA disasters under 500,000 cubic yards; and land debris removal for non-FEMA disasters exceeding 500,000 cubic yards. The contract is available to the State of New Jersey and Cooperative Purchasing Program participants for activation only during federally declared, state declared, county declared, or municipally declared disaster emergencies where debris generation exceeds normal waste handling capacity.
Under this blanket purchase order arrangement, AshBritt, Inc. provides removal, loading, transportation, reduction, and disposal or recycling services for disaster-generated debris including vegetative matter, construction and demolition materials, bulky waste, white goods, scrap metal, electronic waste, hazardous waste, sand and sediment, animal carcasses, vehicles, and vessels. Pricing is structured on a firm fixed-price basis with rates varying by debris type, quantity tier, transportation distance, and disaster eligibility status. The contractor must maintain performance security up to $25,000,000 within five calendar days of initial task order issuance, scaled based on disaster magnitude. The contract includes provisions for Temporary Debris Management Area operations, Vehicle and Vessel Aggregation Area operations, and staffing services at specified hourly or daily rates. No minimum purchase obligation exists; compensation is rendered solely for actual work performed as directed by using agencies through individual task orders.
