The Defense Logistics Agency awarded a single-award Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to Owens & Minor Distribution Inc., a for-profit medical and surgical supplies provider, worth up to $5 million over five years. The contract supports the Strategic Programs for Expeditionary, Contingency, and Humanitarian Operations (SPE2CH) initiative, including the Tactical Radio Over-the-Horizon Relay (TRBO) program and Region 3 contingency response missions.
Under this IDC, Owens & Minor distributes a diverse range of medical commodities such as wound care products, patient apparel, surgical instruments, intravenous therapy supplies, and other hospital provisions from its Mechanicsville, Virginia distribution center. The contract does not utilize any set-aside designations. The task orders issued to date include firm fixed price deliveries of items like sutures, catheters, implants, and diagnostic equipment, with individual values ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars. This IDC and associated delivery orders allow the Defense Logistics Agency to efficiently procure critical medical supplies and equipment in support of military treatment facilities worldwide.
