The contract, valued at $3,055,242.61, is for continued support of F5 networking equipment and software used for load balancing, Domain Name System (DNS) management, global traffic routing, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) inspection. This support will ensure mission-critical F5 systems remain operational, preventing disruptions to the Department of State's operations. The contract is a firm-fixed price agreement without any set-aside designation. Carahsoft has extensive experience delivering a wide range of enterprise IT products and services to government customers under various contract vehicles, including large-scale software deployments and infrastructure modernization projects.

Description

Continued support for the F5 equipment to help with managing patching and migrations. F5 support also is used for load balancing, DNS, global traffic routing, and SSL inspection. F5 support will help in the event of a mission critical failure of the hardware; CST must have replacement equipment or technical assistance immediately available. Without the support, a stoppage of work in production of areas of CST and other satellite offices around the globe would result.
