About this program
The Department of Health and Human Services Immediate Office of the Secretary operates the Ambassadors for Change Program (CFDA 93.013) to recognize and fund graduating National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health and National Community Centers of Excellence in Women's Health, with the most recent grant award dated September 1, 2006.
The program funds women's health program enhancement through five integrated components: leadership development for women, training for lay and professional health care providers, public education and outreach with emphasis on minority women, comprehensive gender and age-appropriate health service delivery, and basic science and community-based research. Community centers funded through the program must replicate their model in another community as a requirement of the award.
The portfolio shows minimal recent activity. Only one award has been recorded in the data — a block grant (AFCWH060012) obligating $0.00 in federal dollars, disbursed on September 1, 2006, with a completion date of August 31, 2007. This award occurred twenty years ago with no subsequent grant activity recorded. The assistance type mix is entirely block grants. No recent grant opportunities have been posted, and no information on current solicitation activity or application deadlines is available.
Given the absence of any grant awards in the past two decades and no indication of open solicitation, this program appears inactive or dormant. Organizations should verify current funding status and solicitation availability directly with the Department of Health and Human Services before committing resources to an application.
