About this opportunity

Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW) is requesting quotations for miscellaneous materials under RFQ 1804952 and coilable polyethylene electrical duct under RFQ 1804950, both due September 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Both solicitations are sheltered for Locally Owned Small Business (LSB) certification — the RFQs will proceed only if at least three qualified LSBs submit competitive offers at fair market prices. LSB certification is mandatory with all responses.

RFQ 1804952 covers three line items: 410 alkaline 1.5-volt D-cell batteries (NEDA 13A) meeting ANSI C18.1 standards; 648 quarts of non-acid bathroom disinfectant cleaner effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria and SARS-CoV-2; and 200 boxes of pre-moistened eyeglass cleaning towelettes (100 per box) with anti-fog and anti-static properties. MLGW has published approved manufacturer lists for each item. Alternate products require submission of data sheets. Pricing is per-unit basis, FOB Memphis with freight prepaid and allowed.

RFQ 1804950 seeks 74,242 linear feet of 2-inch nominal size coilable smooth-wall polyethylene plastic electrical duct manufactured to MLGW Specification #38-37XX (November 3, 2022). Pricing is per-linear-foot, FOB Memphis with freight prepaid and allowed. Bidders must identify the manufacturer and catalog number and, if quoting an alternate, submit a data sheet and lead time information.

All materials must be delivered by October 2, 2026 to 1060 Tupelo Street, Memphis, Tennessee 38108-2423. Payment processing requires a minimum of 30 days after invoice receipt or goods acceptance, whichever is later. Sellers must warrant that quoted prices are not less favorable than those offered to other customers and agree to reduce MLGW's prices if prices for similar items are reduced during the contract term. All prices must be complete with no additional charges for shipping, packaging, or taxes without written consent. Hazardous materials shipments require Material Safety Data Sheets. Bidders must comply with foreign adversary certifications and debarment requirements under Tennessee law.
