The City of Thornton, Colorado is requesting quotations for rebuild and installation services on two Goulds water pumps located at Wes Brown Water Treatment Plant, with responses due August 31, 2026, and a mandatory site visit on August 20. A local-vendor discount of the lesser of 5% of quoted price or ten thousand dollars applies to Thornton-based businesses maintaining an office or facility within city limits, possessing a current business license, and current on all city obligations, where nonmonetary bid criteria are equal.
The scope includes disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of one Model 3196 pump (installed 2004/2005) and one Model 3180XL pump (installed approximately 2020); replacement of O-rings, gaskets, bearings, seals, and mechanical seals; reassembly; precision laser alignment; and operational testing. Vendors must submit separate line-item pricing for each pump rebuild on Thornton's provided pricing form, with all costs firm and fixed, including removal, rebuild, replacement parts, realignment, operational testing, performance verification, delivery, and reinstallation. Pricing may include estimated completion timeframes and warranty information on workmanship and replacement parts.
Work is scheduled for completion in October 2026. Place of performance is Wes Brown Water Treatment Plant, 2651 E. 86th Avenue, Thornton, CO 80229. Questions are due August 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., with responses provided by August 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Vendors must submit the Acceptance of Conditions and Addenda Acknowledgement Form and the Disclosure of Generative Artificial Intelligence Usage Form with their responses.
