About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on two-way mobile radios with bids due May 9, 2008. The procurement carries an in-state preference — tied bids favor in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine.
The scope consists of 100 Motorola CDM750 mobile UHF radios (403–470 MHz, 1–25 W) and 90 Motorola CDM1250 mobile low-band radios (42–50 MHz, 40–60 W). Each radio is supplied new with compact microphone, mounting bracket, power cable, replaceable button package, operating and safety manuals, and a 2-year warranty. No programming service is required. Delivery must be made to Augusta, Maine, with the first 30 units required within 15 business days and remaining units within 30 business days.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, evaluated on quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost. Vendors must submit per-unit net cost for each radio model, with all shipping and handling costs to Augusta included in the bid price. Award price will be calculated by multiplying the per-unit CDM750 cost by 100 and the per-unit CDM1250 cost by 90. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State sales and use taxes and expects bids to exclude them. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10 percent. Cash discounts under 20 days will not be considered in award determination.
