Turkey whole

The State Correctional Institution at Chester is soliciting bids for whole turkey procurement, with a specific focus on meeting institutional food service requirements. The bid opportunity was posted on September 23, 2013, with a response deadline of October 8, 2013, targeting jurisdictions including Delaware County, Lancaster County, and Edie CDP in Pennsylvania. The procurement specifically seeks whole turkeys that must strictly comply with detailed specifications outlined in the bid documentation. While the attached file appears to reference a Florida Department of Management Services document, the core solicitation relates to the Pennsylvania correctional facility's turkey procurement needs. The bid requires vendors to provide whole turkeys meeting precise weight specifications, with an anticipated delivery timeframe that suggests institutional food service planning.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation were explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. The procurement does not appear to have designated preferences for disadvantaged business enterprises or specific vendor classifications. While the bid targets whole turkey procurement for a state correctional institution, no precise budget range or estimated contract value was specified in the available materials. The solicitation seems focused on securing a reliable turkey supply for institutional food service, with compliance to specified product specifications being a key evaluation criterion. The geographical scope encompasses multiple Pennsylvania counties, suggesting potential multi-site delivery requirements. The procurement process appears standard for institutional food service procurement, emphasizing product quality, specification compliance, and timely delivery.
