About this opportunity

The City of Longmont, Colorado is requesting quotes for stucco repair at the Longmont Recreation Center (310 Quail Road), with quotes due August 18, 2026 by 2:00 PM. The scope covers repair of two localized stucco-damage areas caused by bird activity, including removal of compromised stucco, patching to match existing texture and finish, caulking replacement, weatherproofing, and debris removal.

Contractors must be licensed and insured to perform stucco and exterior repair work in Colorado and maintain commercial general and automobile liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence. The City's livable wage requirement of $26.18 per hour (or $54,454.40 annually for full-time employees) applies to work performed under the contract. Contractors must visit the site prior to submitting a final quote and provide a warranty on workmanship and materials as part of their submission.

Pricing shall be submitted as separate line-item costs for each of the two repair areas, with total proposed cost clearly stated. The City will evaluate quotes primarily on price while also considering contractor capacity, capability, and limitations. The contract will be governed by a Services Contract with terms to be negotiated with the awarded contractor; no specific contract term is identified in the RFQ. Payment terms require the City to pay invoices within 30 days of receipt.

Contractor questions are due August 4, 2026 by 2:00 PM, with City responses due August 6, 2026 by 2:00 PM. All quotes become public records upon submission.

Opportunity text

The recreation center previously underwent stucco repair in 2021 to address exterior damage and deterioration. At that time, repairs included removing compromised stucco, patching affected areas, and restoring the finish to match the existing exterior. Since the completion of the 2021 work, the building has experienced new localized stucco damage caused by bird activity. The current request is to repair two newly affected areas, as identified in the attached photos, and ensure the exterior remains properly sealed and protected.
