About this opportunity
Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW) is requesting quotations for storeroom materials — 133 two-foot steel brackets for floodlight mounting, 2 replacement blades for cable-scoring tools, and 90 nine-inch pliers — under a sheltered-market RFQ closing August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This procurement is exclusively open to certified Locally Owned Small Businesses (LSBs) with headquarters and physical principal office in Shelby County, Tennessee.
LSB eligibility requires gross annual sales below SIC category limits, at least 51 percent ownership and operation by Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area residents who are U.S. citizens, and independent control. Bidders must submit a copy of their LSB certification and complete the signature page in blue ink; unsigned bids are rejected.
The bracket specification calls for Item 0430802 manufactured by AM Electric per specification WPBH1-18-S or equivalent. The blade requirement is Ripley Company catalog #33937-1 (Item 0721304). The pliers specification is Channellock model 420, 9.5-inch pump tongue and groove with comfort-grip handles (Item 0726420). Quotations must include the manufacturer and catalog number for each item; data sheets are required for any alternate products not on the approved products list. Lead times must be noted in the Note to Buyer field for each line.
All items must be delivered by September 14, 2026 to the MLGW Ship Receive facility at 1060 Tupelo Street, Memphis, Tennessee. Pricing is FOB Memphis with freight prepaid and allowed; quotations must be complete with no additional charges for shipping, packaging, labeling, customs, taxes, storage, insurance, boxing, or crating unless expressly authorized in writing by MLGW. MLGW is not subject to state and local taxes and will provide tax exemption certificates upon request. Payment requires a minimum of 30 days from invoice receipt or goods acceptance, whichever is later. Submit quotations to Purchasing Representative Jeanine Spivey-McNeary at Jeanine.McNeary@mlgw.org.
