About this opportunity

Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW) is requesting quotations on storeroom materials—specifically water infrastructure components including gas valve boxes, saddle tapping fittings, cast iron sleeves, corporation cocks, and gate valves—with quotes due October 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This is an invited-supplier RFQ; suppliers may respond to selected line items rather than all five.

The scope consists of five line items: 60 gas valve boxes, 2 saddle tapping fittings (12" x 4"), 6 cast iron sleeves (20"), 120 corporation cocks (3/4"), and 10 gate valves (8" AWWA). All goods must comply with applicable AWWA standards and MLGW specifications. Delivery dates range from October 9 to October 30, 2026, with shipment to MLGW's facility at 1060 Tupelo Street, Memphis, Tennessee. Terms are FOB Memphis with freight prepaid and allowed.

Pricing is evaluated on price-only basis with all applicable costs—shipping, packaging, and insurance—included in quoted unit prices. Payment follows a minimum 30-day timeline after invoice receipt. MLGW reserves the right to inspect, test, and reject nonconforming materials. Seller warranties cover merchantable quality, specification compliance, Fair Labor Standards Act compliance, and patent non-infringement.

All bids must be signed in blue ink and include completed bid forms; unsigned or incomplete submissions will be rejected. The RFQ emphasizes compliance with nondiscrimination requirements, environmental sustainability commitments, and debarment restrictions. Locally owned small businesses (LSBs) in the relevant market area are eligible for consideration. The solicitation is governed by Tennessee law with jurisdiction in Shelby County courts. MLGW reserves the right to close the negotiation before the stated close date or extend it.
