About this opportunity

Southwest Regional Recreation Authority (SRRA), a Virginia state agency, is requesting sealed bids for two brush cutters compatible with a Bobcat T595 Skidsteer for recreational trail systems under RFB #016, with bids due September 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. via the eVA procurement system or in person at SRRA's Coeburn office. All vendors and contractors must be licensed in Virginia.

The brush cutters must meet detailed specifications: 60-inch cutting head width, direct drive bi-directional motor, minimum 8-inch deck clearance, chain curtain or debris protection, and capability to cut materials up to 4 inches in diameter. Each unit must include a minimum one-year warranty and be deliverable within 90 days of contract award.

Evaluation is based primarily on total purchase price, compliance with minimum specifications, delivery capability, and bid responsiveness and completeness. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The procurement is partially funded by the Recreational Trails Program of the Federal Highway Administration administered by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and is subject to Build America and Buy America Acts compliance, including OMB 2 CFR Part 184 domestic content requirements. Vendors must attempt to comply with domestic content requirements to the extent feasible. SRRA encourages participation from small, minority-owned, women-owned, and local businesses through partnerships and subcontracting arrangements. Bidders must register in the eVA system and factor any associated transaction fees into pricing.
