About this opportunity
The State of Alabama is seeking maintenance services for dehumidification equipment at the Archives & History Building, 624 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, under a sole-source procurement, with proposals due September 4, 2026. The sole-source requirement mandates that the awardee must be the supplier already servicing the facility's HVAC system; bidders must attach a PDF of their sole-source letter as part of the proposal.
The scope covers full performance analysis, regularly scheduled inspections of Munters-supplied equipment, adjustment of valves, actuators, sensors, and control units to maintain design specifications, one hour of unit-side training for site maintenance staff during each scheduled visit, and performance history tracking monitoring trends and system changes. After each visit, the vendor must deliver detailed service reports documenting modifications, recommendations for repairs and replacements, items requiring monitoring, and routine maintenance suggestions.
The service period runs October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with annual invoicing. The total yearly maintenance cost must be entered on line 1 of the proposal spreadsheet; line 2 must show $0.00 for miscellaneous repairs not covered under the maintenance agreement. The maintenance agreement includes a 10% discount on spare or replacement parts, discounts on billable labor rates for repairs or emergencies, after-hours technical support, and higher priority technical support response.
