The initial contract term runs from the date of award through June 30, 2027, with an option to renew for one additional one-year term contingent upon satisfactory performance. Invoices are paid net 30 days. The county reserves the right to cancel the contract without penalty upon 30 days written notice.

Proposals will be evaluated on project understanding and methodology (20%), technical solution and compliance with specifications (20%), experience with similar multi-disciplinary security installations in occupied government or historic facilities (20%), project management structure and coordination strategy (15%), and cost reasonableness and completeness (25%). E-Verify compliance is mandatory for all contractors employing 25 or more employees in North Carolina; subcontractors must comply with the same requirements. All public security plans and building drawings must be held confidential and used solely for proposal response purposes. Sealed proposals require one original and five copies submitted to the Durham County Purchasing Division.
