About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity (ID: 68593dac52efcf0b7e0fb60e) is a comprehensive infrastructure and community improvement project issued by Gwinnett County, Georgia, with a bid due date of July 17, 2025. The procurement encompasses four primary project components: site development plans, Sandalwood Lake maintenance, lake dam rehabilitation, and water main improvements. Specific deliverables include developing site plans for dumpster and clubhouse areas, constructing a new kiosk area, performing civil/site work for dam reconstruction, rehabilitating pavement, and improving New Hope Road. The lake maintenance portion requires extensive dredging, silt removal, shoreline improvements, drainage modifications, and comprehensive erosion control measures. The project mandates strict compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, with the contractor responsible for providing traffic control and executing all technical specifications as outlined in the project drawings. The bid notice (SB028_25 Notice of Bid.pdf) was posted on June 17, 2025, signaling the official start of the procurement process.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the project appears to be a standard public works procurement open to qualified contractors with demonstrated capabilities in civil infrastructure, lake restoration, and municipal improvement projects. The complexity of the project suggests that respondents will need significant technical expertise in civil engineering, environmental remediation, and municipal infrastructure development. Potential bidders should possess comprehensive experience in large-scale community improvement projects, dam rehabilitation, and water infrastructure work. Though precise budget ranges are not specified, the multi-faceted nature of the project involving site development, lake maintenance, dam rehabilitation, and water main improvements indicates a substantial capital investment. Interested contractors should carefully review the full bid documentation to understand the complete scope of work, technical requirements, and submission guidelines for this extensive Gwinnett County infrastructure enhancement initiative.
