About this opportunity

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is requesting quotes for monthly pest control services and door sweep installation at the North Central Region 2 campus, with quotes due August 28, 2026 and contract performance commencing October 1, 2026 or upon contract approval, whichever is later.

Bidders must hold a valid California Structural Pest Control Board License and be legally constituted and registered with the California Secretary of State. The pest control scope covers treatment for ants, spiders, fleas, silverfish, crickets, yellow jackets, bees, wasps, centipedes, millipedes, scorpions, earwigs, mites, cockroaches, rats, mice, ticks, bugs, beetles, and dust mites across three locations: American River Trout Hatchery, Fish Health Lab, and NCR 2 Headquarters in Rancho Cordova. Services exclude snakes, squirrels, termites, mosquitoes, bats, and worms. The contractor must also measure, cut, fit, drill, and securely fasten two pre-furnished 12-foot Xcluder door sweeps on warehouse rollup doors. Services are performed during standard business hours on mutually agreed dates, with callback services required at no additional charge for pest activity between scheduled visits.

The contract runs through June 30, 2029, with pricing structured as monthly flat rates per facility across three fiscal periods: October 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 (9 months); July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028 (12 months); and July 1, 2028 through June 30, 2029 (12 months). All costs, including labor, materials, equipment, taxes, transportation, and travel, are included in quoted rates. The contract maximum will be established based on the awarded vendor's quote.

Contractors must maintain commercial general liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), automobile liability ($1,000,000), pollution liability ($1,000,000), and workers compensation ($1,000,000). Invoices are submitted monthly and paid in arrears by the California State Controller's Office warrant. Required submissions include the completed Quote Sheet, Payee Data Record (STD 204), Contractor Certification Clauses, Darfur Contracting Act Certification, and valid California Business License. Contact Julie Langley at julie.langley@wildlife.ca.gov for inquiries.
