Roof Replacement Project at Orange Hunt Elementary School

Fairfax County Public Schools is requesting bids for a roofing replacement project at Orange Hunt Elementary School, 6820 Sydenstricker Road, Springfield, Virginia, with bids due September 9, 2026. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the school site is a prerequisite for bid eligibility — only prequalified bidders who attend are permitted to submit proposals, with no admissions allowed after 10:05 a.m.

The scope requires furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and related services for full roofing replacement in accordance with contract specifications and drawings. Site visits prior to submission are encouraged. Bid documents will be available for download from the Bonfire website one week before the pre-bid meeting and will also be available for pickup at the meeting.

The contract term requires completion by September 30, 2027, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for failure to meet this deadline. The bid price must be inclusive of all costs — labor, materials, equipment, permits, and applicable sales or use taxes.

Bid opening will occur September 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. via Google Meet, with an in-person option available. If inclement weather affects Fairfax County Public Schools facilities, the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be rescheduled by addendum, and bid due dates and opening will be delayed to the following business day. Questions concerning work scope should be directed to Carlo Bertelli at (703) 898-3322 or Amanda Hutchison at (703) 764-2410.
