Proof of insurance must be provided prior to contract execution and maintained throughout the contract term.

Evaluation is weighted: qualifications and cost proposal (30%), demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and proposed work schedule (30%), references from past clients (20%), and financial responsibility and stability (20%). Questions are due October 8, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. No site visits or bidders' conferences are specified. The City of Meriden is exempt from federal excise taxes and Connecticut sales and use taxes, which should not be included in pricing. Contractors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits; City building permit fees are waived, but State Training and Education Fund fees are not.
