About this opportunity

The County of San Diego Purchasing and Contracting Department, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office Re-Entry Services Division, is requesting quotations for as-needed heather gray crew neck sweatshirts, with quotations due October 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM via BuyNet and questions due October 7, 2026.

Sweatshirts must be 50/50 cotton-polyester or 55/45 cotton-polyester blend with 7.5 to 8.0 fabric weight, cover-seamed construction, and ribbed elastic cuffs, collars, and waistbands. Sizes range from Small through 10X-large. Vendors must submit samples (one each of Medium, X-Large, and 3X-Large) within five business days of request. Award criteria are price, ability to meet a ten-business-day delivery guarantee to East Mesa Central Warehouse (446 Alta Road, Bay 23, San Diego, California 92158, 7:30 AM–2:30 PM Monday–Friday), and sample acceptance.

The contract runs from November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027, with two optional one-year renewal periods extending through October 31, 2029. Estimated quantities total 12,175 units across all sizes during the base term, with identical quantities projected for each renewal year. Payment terms are NET 30, though qualified small-local businesses may be eligible for NET 15 terms under Board Policy B-53. Vendors must provide cost-free delivery, absorb return shipping for damaged or incorrect items, and issue written credits within five business days. The County will pay California Use Tax directly for out-of-state vendors. Quotations must exclude sales and use taxes and represent lowest-possible pricing. The County reserves the right to reject any or all quotations and may conduct pre-award surveys to assess vendor capability.
