The scope encompasses removal, transportation, and disposal of biohazardous waste, pathology waste, pharmaceutical waste, RCRA hazardous medications, trace chemotherapy waste, sharps, and expired vaccines in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Services must be provided during County business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST), with response to inquiries within one business day and medical waste transport within three business days of notification. Contractors must hold current permits and certifications including DTSC State Identification Number, EPA Federal Identification Number, CDPH Medical Waste Transporter Permit, and Medical Waste Treatment Permit. The contract has an initial base period of one year with three one-year option periods available. Pricing must be submitted on an itemized, per-pound basis for removal and disposal of various waste types and per-unit costs for collection containers and liners of specified sizes and colors. Payment terms are net 30 days from invoice receipt, and contractors must accept P-Card (Visa) as a payment method.
Award will be made to the offeror providing best value based on technical merit, experience, capacity, compliance history, availability, and price.
