About this opportunity
A California state or local government agency in Fresno County is requesting proposals for replacement and expansion of chilled water infrastructure in Building 1 and the Operations and Planning Center under an SDVOSB set-aside (NAICS 236220), with proposals due July 14, 2026. Only Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses certified as such are eligible to compete.
The scope encompasses demolition and replacement of undersized chilled water piping in Building 1 and the OPC, replacement of existing chilled water pumps serving these areas, replacement of undersized fan coils, and consolidation of scattered risers throughout the building into two unified riser sets—one serving the north wing of Building 1 and one serving the OPC and south wing of Building 1. The new piping system will serve both chilled water and hot water with new control valves allowing seasonal switchover between summer and winter months. The existing infrastructure is inadequate to meet required chilled water flow demands during summer months.
The RFP document (36C26126R0028_1.pdf) is attached. No contract value, estimated cost, or project timeline beyond the proposal due date is specified in the source.
Opportunity text
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside, 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Renovate and expand chilled water infrastructure. This project involves the replacement of the chilled water piping in the OPC and building 1, the chilled water pumps currently serving these areas, and any undersized fan coils in these areas. The existing pipes are too small to accommodate the required chilled water flow that is required in the summer months, and their associated risers are scattered throughout various locations in the building. These risers will be demolished and consolidated to two sets of risers, one serving the north wing of building 1 and one serving the OPC and south wing of building 1. The new piping system will be used for chilled water as well as hot water; new control valves will be provided on the hot and chilled water lines to allow for switchover during summer/ winter months.
