About this opportunity
Snohomish County is requesting proposals for a Transfer Agreement to relocate, preserve, and reuse Granite Falls Bridge 102, with proposals due August 27, 2026. The county owns the existing bridge and will retain it in place until a new replacement bridge is completed; the contractor is anticipated to remove and store the existing bridge at or near the project area in 2029, contingent on proposal agreement approval.
The scope requires the proposer to develop and execute a comprehensive transfer agreement addressing bridge relocation, preservation, and reuse planning. The proposer must demonstrate relevant experience with bridge preservation and relocation projects, project management capacity for multi-year execution, financial capability, and technical expertise in maintaining structural integrity and historical significance of the bridge asset. Coordination with county stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle is required.
Evaluation will assess the proposer's qualifications and past performance on similar projects, proposed approach and methodology, cost-effectiveness, timeline feasibility, and ability to execute logistics of bridge relocation and storage. The RFP document (292 KB) is attached and available for detailed review of specific requirements, evaluation criteria weighting, and contractual terms.
