About this opportunity
The City of Milton, Georgia is seeking proposals through RFP 26-IT01 for Managed IT Services and Managed IT Security Services (SECaaS), with proposals due on November 6, 2025, by 2:00 pm EST. The procurement seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive IT support for the city's 12 physical locations, which currently operate a complex technology infrastructure including 12 FortiGate firewalls, multiple FortiSwitch deployments, VMware virtualization platforms, and approximately 40 on-premise virtual servers. Key deliverables include help desk support, advanced technical escalation, integration with existing remote monitoring tools, and strategic IT management. The selected vendor will need to work within a hybrid Windows Domain environment with on-premise domain controllers integrated with Azure Active Directory and support 297 Microsoft 365 licensed users. Evaluation criteria will focus on vendor experience, technical approach, service level agreements, reporting capabilities, communication effectiveness, and overall cost-effectiveness. The contract will be an initial one-year term with potential for four additional annual renewals.
The RFP indicates that all qualified proposals will be considered without discrimination based on age, handicap, religion, creed, political affiliation, race, color, sex, or national origin. Vendors can submit proposals for either Managed IT Services, Managed IT Security Services, or both services simultaneously. The city's current security infrastructure includes tools such as SentinelOne, Huntress, ThreatLocker, Barracuda Email Security Service, and Barracuda Web Application Firewall, which will require seamless integration by the new service provider. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed, the comprehensive nature of the services suggests a significant investment in IT and cybersecurity support. The City of Milton reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to make awards in the best interest of the municipality, with submissions required through the city's online procurement portal at https://www.miltonga.gov/government/finance/bids-rfps.
