About this opportunity
The Lower Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District (WCID) in Williamson County, Texas, is requesting bids for refencing at Site 9, with bids due August 25, 2026.
The scope includes removal and disposal of approximately 2,180 linear feet of existing barbed wire fences and gates, and installation of approximately 3,820 linear feet of permanent barbed wire fencing. The bid itemizes five 16-foot-wide gates with bull-panel infills and one 6-foot-wide gate with bull-panel infill. All barbed wire must be 12-gauge, galvanized, double-strand with 2-point barbs per ASTM standards. Steel posts and concrete footings must meet ASTM specifications with minimum 3,000 psi compressive strength. Non-galvanized steel components require rust-inhibiting primer and two coats of exterior-grade oil-based black paint. The contractor is responsible for mobilization, demobilization, labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work.
The contract term is three months from the effective date. The WCID retains the right to terminate for convenience with 30 days' written notice or for cause with 10 days' written notice. Payment is based on unit prices submitted by bidders and will be made within 30 days of work completion or invoice receipt, whichever is later.
The contractor must carry comprehensive general liability insurance with a $2 million aggregate and $1 million per occurrence limit, automobile liability coverage of $250,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence, and workers' compensation insurance. The contractor must employ trained and experienced personnel and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Certification of non-boycott compliance regarding Israel, energy companies, and firearm entities is required. The WCID is exempt from federal excise and state sales taxes.
