About this opportunity
Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is requesting bids for waste removal and recycling services across seven campus locations in Guilford County, North Carolina under IFB #99-JD26002, with bids due September 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM EST.
The scope covers waste removal and recycling services at multiple GTCC sites in Jamestown, High Point, Greensboro, Colfax, and three aviation facilities, using 30-yard compactors and 8-yard containers for regular trash and comingled recycling. Service frequency ranges from once weekly to three times weekly depending on location and container type. The vendor must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment. Bids must include pricing for all three contract years (the initial one-year period plus two optional one-year renewal terms) broken down by monthly rental rates, haul fees, and landfill fees per ton. Vendors may submit optional pricing for additional 30-yard open-top containers during peak volume periods (July, August, November, December, January, April, and May).
The initial contract term begins on the later of final execution or November 1, 2026. Renewal terms are at GTCC's discretion, with renewal intent notifications required thirty days before term expiration.
Vendors must provide three customer references for similar services, proof of North Carolina Secretary of State registration, and E-Verify compliance certification for employers with more than 25 employees. Minimum insurance requirements are $1,000,000 combined single limit commercial general liability and $1,000,000 automobile coverage, plus statutory employer's liability limits. Vendors must register in North Carolina's Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) and submit bids electronically through that system; late submissions are automatically rejected regardless of cause.
Award will be made to the responsive bidder offering the lowest price meeting all specifications, evaluated on completeness, content, cost, and vendor responsibility. Written questions are due September 9, 2026.
