About this opportunity
Broward County Transit is hosting an Industry Day event on October 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Broward County Commission Chambers in Fort Lauderdale to solicit interest from contractors, consultants, and vendors for its Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Program. This procurement opportunity is related to a major capital initiative under the County's PREMO Premium Mobility Program, which represents a comprehensive transportation infrastructure modernization effort. The primary objective is to identify qualified industry partners capable of supporting the design, development, and implementation of a modern BRT system across Broward County. Over the next decade, Broward County Transit will invest more than $1 billion to construct and deploy this BRT infrastructure to serve the growing community. The Industry Day serves as an informational and networking forum where interested parties can learn about the County's strategic plans, project scope, timeline, and upcoming contracting opportunities related to the BRT initiative. Prospective vendors, consultants, and contractors should register for the event by October 22, 2025, using the provided registration link at mybct.org/brt-industry-day-2025. The event will provide details regarding qualifications, technical requirements, and evaluation criteria that will be applied to future procurement solicitations related to this program.
The notice does not specify particular set-asides or restrictions limiting participation to specific business categories, disadvantaged enterprises, or minority-owned organizations; however, typical Broward County procurement practices may apply upon issuance of formal solicitations. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are identified in this Industry Day notice, as this appears to be an exploratory engagement phase rather than a formal competitive procurement. The notice does not disclose specific contract award values or budget allocations for individual procurements; however, the stated $1 billion investment over the next decade indicates substantial contracting opportunities across multiple discipline areas including engineering, construction, consulting services, and transit system development. Interested parties should anticipate that formal solicitations for specific components of the BRT Program will be released following this Industry Day event, with requirements and evaluation criteria detailed in those subsequent procurement documents. Participation in this Industry Day is voluntary and serves as an opportunity to gather intelligence on upcoming projects and network with Broward County Transit officials and other potential partners in the transportation infrastructure sector.
