About this opportunity
Sanford Airport Authority is requesting bids on a Public Address system upgrade at Orlando Sanford International Airport under ITB 2026-034-ITB, with bids due September 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and questions due September 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The Authority requires an AtlasIED-authorized Enterprise System Integrator with staffed offices in Florida capable of on-site support — a restrictive qualification that filters the bidder pool.
The scope encompasses furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, software, programming, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, training, and documentation to modernize the existing PA infrastructure. The existing system includes 18 microphones, 10 four-zone amplifiers, and 2 controllers/servers distributed across 7 communications rooms with current 70-volt speaker infrastructure. Required spare parts are one desktop paging microphone station, one four-channel network audio amplifier, ten handheld microphones, and twenty microphone cable assemblies. The Contractor must place equipment orders within 5 business days of Notice to Proceed and achieve Final Acceptance within 10 calendar days of receiving all major equipment, excluding weekends and holidays. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day apply for failure to meet the Final Acceptance deadline.
The contract is a lump-sum Total Base Bid covering all costs. The Contractor must provide a minimum three-year warranty on all AtlasIED equipment and software and a minimum one-year labor warranty from final acceptance. The Authority furnishes existing 70-volt speaker infrastructure, reusable PA equipment racks, network switches, fiber infrastructure, and network VLAN configuration and programming. Commercial General Liability of $1 million per occurrence, statutory Workers' Compensation, and Business Automobile Liability of $1 million combined are required. The Authority Board tentatively plans to award by October 6, 2026. The contract runs from Board approval through project completion per the Contractor's submitted schedule. The Authority reserves the right to award on an all-or-none, by-lot, partial-lot, or by-item basis and to procure similar services from other sources.
