About this opportunity

The State of Alabama, Department of Finance, State Business Systems Division, is requesting bids for comprehensive maintenance and repair services on one Formax FD2096 high-capacity pressure sealer system with associated stackers under ITB, with bids due October 19, 2026 and questions due October 9, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time.

The scope encompasses quarterly preventive maintenance inspections (minimum four annually), cleaning and lubrication, functional testing and calibration, repair of mechanical and electrical components, and replacement of defective parts with OEM or equivalent components. The awardee must provide on-site response within one business day of determining on-site service is required, with telephone or email response within six to eight business hours. Routine maintenance services are performed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with emergency services available outside business hours upon request. Service records documenting all work, parts replaced, technician information, and equipment status must be maintained and provided to the State Business Systems Division after each visit. The bidder must be an authorized Formax maintenance service provider with letter of confirmation from Formax, employ only qualified technicians trained on the covered equipment, assume full responsibility without outsourcing, warrant all work and materials free from defects, demonstrate years of experience servicing the specific equipment, and provide references and average response times.

Pricing is submitted on a monthly basis with equipment maintenance paid monthly in arrears; all costs must include parts, labor, preventive maintenance, travel, and expenses. The initial contract term is 24 months with options to extend for three additional 12-month terms. Award is made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications. Price escalation is considered only if justified by documented increases in material and labor costs, limited to industry-specific or CPI increases, and subject to written approval. The State pays thirty days in arrears following invoice receipt. Contact: Debra Jarrett, 334-353-1838, Room 250, RSA Union Building, 100 North Union Street, Montgomery, AL 36130.
