Details are within the bid specification. Answers to Questions from Vendors: Who is the current or most recent incumbent contractor, and what were the original contract amount, final amount spent, and awarded unit prices? Previous award and renewal information is available on the NYS Contract Reporter. A FOIL will need to be submitted for the amount spent. What is the Village's approved or estimated budget for the base contract and extension years? We do not provide that information. Work to be issued on an as-needed basis. Other than the 45 annual bus-shelter services, do the estimated quantities in the Bid Proposal represent annual quantities or the total anticipated quantities for the entire base period? If available, can the Village provide historical quantities and expenditures by bid item? Work to be issued on an as-needed basis. Can the Village provide the anticipated locations, square footage, and service frequency for the sidewalks, pavers, dumpster enclosures, and garbage pails? Work to be issued on an as-needed basis. Please also provide the approximate dimensions of the standard bus shelter. Approximately 16' by 16' What are the anticipated minimum and maximum quantities per work order, and will multiple locations normally be combined into a single mobilization? Work to be issued on an as-needed basis. What hydrant permit, meter, backflow-prevention, water-usage, or other water-related fees must the contractor include? Permit fees will be waived. Will approved hydrants be reasonably available near the anticipated work locations? That depends on how close a hydrant is to a work order area, I cannot definitively answer that question. Is the contractor required to capture, recover, transport, or dispose of wastewater, or may wash water enter the existing drainage system? No. Are gum, oil, grease, organic growth, food stains, and similar difficult substances included in the base unit prices? Yes. For dumpster enclosures, does the measured square footage include the floors, interior and exterior walls, and gates? Yes. What notice and completion time will apply to each work order, and approximately what percentage of the work is expected during evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays? Work to be issued on an as-needed basis. 48-hour notice ahead of start of work is need. Completion time will vary depending on quantity of work. How does the 120-workday completion requirement apply to this multi-year, on-call contract, and what contract value should bidders use to calculate the required performance, payment, and maintenance bond costs? The section that includes the 120 day requirement is crossed out so it does not apply. There are no performance, payment or maintenance bonds included in the bid. *Power washing dumpster enclosures- Is hot water power washing required for these items? No. Do you require sanitizing and deodorizing of dumpster enclosures? No. Will dumpsters (full or empty) be stationed in the enclosure? (Requiring labor to move them) Yes. Are dumpsters on wheels? Yes. *All power washing- Is water reclamation required? Previous question by another vendor, question #8 had 2 parts and only one answer was given. Clarification needed No. For night time power washing is lighting provided or is the vendor responsible for work lighting? If vendor requires additional lighting other than existing street lighting, vendor is responsible for lighting. Should all cleaning agents be submitted with the bid proposal? (after, with a contract?) They are not required to be submitted with the bid. *Bid proposal- page 3B item No.5- is this line to be left unanswered completely or just give a dollar amount? This is to be left unanswered. There is a page that says "PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE BID PAGES" clarification needed Are all 125 pages required to be submitted with bid? No. Only the bid proposal pages required to be submitted with bid? Only the completed bid forms and required attachments are needed. pages 3A-3B (items 1A-2) items with unit price written in words- Is the dollar/cents amount for per sq ft or for total approximate quantities for that line item? It is the amount for the unit price per sf to be written in words. pages 3A-3B (items 3-5) *these items individually do not cover NYS prevailing wage minimum call-out clause costs, so could a minimum call-out line be added to the bid proposal sheet? If not, could a minimum call-out clause be added to the contract after award? If not could a work order for a single item(EA) be refused? Prevailing wage is required for all work. *Power washing garbage pails (Anytime)- Will garbage pails be empty? Yes. Will vendors need to dispose of trash? No. Will trash can liners need to be replaced by vendors? No. Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: 2025 - Renewal of Power Washing Various Locations Village Wide - Metro Express Services, Inc. 2024 - Power Washing Various Locations Village Wide - Metro Express Services, Inc.
