The City of Boston Procurement Department is requesting bids for one new Police Interceptor Utility unmarked vehicle for the Boston Police Department under Event ID BOSTN-EV00018065, with bids due October 28, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. EDT and delivery required by November 2, 2026.

The vehicle must be equipped with a 3.3L V6 Direct Injection Hybrid Engine, AWD, 10-speed automatic transmission, Sterling Gray Metallic or Black body color, and cloth front bucket seats with vinyl rear interior. All telecommunications specifications are mandatory and include Federal Signal Pathfinder lighting systems, Motorola APX O5 radios, Sierra Wireless XR60 modems with WiFi and dual ethernet ports, Panorama antennas, a Brother PJ-883 printer, Gamber Johnson console components, and associated wiring mounted on a LUND LOFT-FPIU-EC equipment cover. The vehicle must comply with the Massachusetts Truck Side Guard Ordinance. Bidders may propose approved equals or substitutions provided deviations are clearly documented with detailed explanations referencing applicable item numbers.

Warranty requirements mandate full manufacturer coverage for three years or 36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper; a 60-month/100,000-mile premium care plan with zero deductible; 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty; 60-month unlimited-distance corrosion perforation warranty; and 60-month/60,000-mile roadside assistance. Bidders must provide the City of Boston Police Fleet Management Division the ability to perform warranty and factory recalls in-house using certified technicians, with labor and parts reimbursement rates included in the bid.

Award will be made on a total-price basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Delivery time is an evaluation factor and must be stated as part of the bid. The contract term is one year. Bidders must certify they are authorized dealerships capable of providing warranty service, including pickup and delivery. Mandatory compliance documents include the Wage Theft Prevention Form (CM-16) and, for corporate entities, the Certificate of Authority (CM-06). All bids must include an official manufacturer warranty contract statement or information booklet.
