About this opportunity

North East Transportation, a Connecticut state agency, is requesting quotes for furnishing and installing painted pavement markings and striping at its Watertown facility, with quotes due September 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for August 26, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., and written questions are due August 27 at 2:00 p.m. with responses provided by August 31 at 11:00 a.m.

The scope includes hand-applied striping (stop bars, crosswalks, parking stalls, lane arrows, legends, markings in gore areas) and truck-mounted machine application (center lines, lane lines, shoulder lines) at the Waterbury Bus Maintenance Facility's first floor bus parking area in Watertown. The striping plan specifies restriping all north-south running lane lines in 4-inch white paint and steering lines in 4-inch dashed yellow paint; eight new exterior 4-inch yellow lines each 100 feet long spaced 15 feet on center; and either painting over existing lines every 42 feet at nine locations with gray paint (base bid) or removing existing lines at those intervals (alternative bid). Work must comply with current Connecticut Department of Transportation standard specifications. The contractor bears responsibility for utility location verification, notification to utility companies, field-condition discrepancy reporting, pavement damage repair or replacement, and post-completion site restoration including 4-inch minimum topsoil, fine-grading, fertilizing, seeding, and mulching. All permit fees are the contractor's responsibility.

Pricing must be submitted on provided quote forms broken down by linear feet for painted markings and by square feet for legends, arrows, and markings, including all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation. North East Transportation is exempt from state sales taxes and such taxes must not be included. Payment terms are net 30 days following delivery confirmation. The RFQ is subject to federal DBE requirements with a contract goal of zero percent and Connecticut SBE and DBE certification compliance where applicable. All vendors are eligible to respond. Contact Gabriella Guerrera at 860-945-1663 or gguerrera@ct-transwb.com for inquiries.
