About this opportunity

The University of Central Florida is soliciting qualifications from commercial and industrial specialty trade contractors to provide outside plant cabling and installation services under an open-ended contract with a proposal due date of October 19, 2026. The contract will run for one year with four optional one-year renewals; UCF reserves the right to amend terms at each annual renewal.

The scope encompasses underground duct bank and maintenance hole installation, outside plant copper telephone cabling, fiber optic cabling installation, and splicing and termination of copper and fiber optic cables. Work includes testing of each copper cable pair and fiber optic strand and supports a variety of information technology systems identified in the solicitation's Attachment B. Services may encompass new construction, renovations, alterations, repairs, and related construction activities across all University of Central Florida campuses in Orange County and Orlando.

Selected contractors must maintain a minimum bonding capacity of $4 million with a maximum of $8,021,250. Contractors shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, testing, documentation, and project management necessary to deliver complete structured cabling systems. Place of performance spans all UCF campuses.

The solicitation does not establish a fixed contract value or spending limit; the open-ended structure with optional renewals positions this as a requirements-based continuing-services vehicle. No incumbent is identified. No set-aside or preference program is mentioned. No evaluation criteria weighting is disclosed in the source material.
