A local-vendor preference applies to businesses operating within Monterey, San Benito, or Santa Cruz Counties for at least two years with a fixed office address and at least one full-time employee in the area.

Up to five agreements may be awarded, each with a not-to-exceed amount of $1 million over a term of up to five years. Selection will be based on demonstrated understanding of services, related project experience with governmental agencies, safety and regulatory compliance record, reliability and service history, compliance with county requirements, and industry reputation for customer satisfaction.
