About this opportunity

The City of Boston is requesting sealed bids for a new twelve-passenger van for the Public Works Department under Event EV00017731, with bids due August 12, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. and public opening at One City Hall Square Room 808.

The contract term is one year. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award as it deems in the best interest of the City, subject to approval by the Mayor of Boston. Award is contingent on the availability of appropriated funds; if sufficient funds are not appropriated in any fiscal year, the City may cancel the contract.

Bidders must comply with all City of Boston standard contract general conditions, including bid deposits, insurance, performance bonds, and compliance with federal and state laws including prevailing wage requirements where applicable, nondiscrimination and conflict-of-interest restrictions, and worker's compensation insurance. Bid prices must be firm unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents. The City is exempt from federal excise taxes and Massachusetts Sales and Use Tax. All contract performance and compliance records must be maintained and made available to the City for seven years following final payment or longer as necessary for resolution of any litigation or inquiry.

The maximum time for bid acceptance by the City after opening is ninety days.

Contact Chris Radcliffe at 617-635-3422 or Christopher.Radcliffe@boston.gov for bid-specific information. All procurement details are available through the City of Boston Supplier Portal at boston.gov/procurement under Event EV00017731.
