About this opportunity
Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW), a Tennessee municipal utility, is requesting quotations for miscellaneous electrical connectors across three line items with quotations due September 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This is a sheltered-market RFQ restricted to certified Local Small Businesses (LSBs) with headquarters in Shelby County, Tennessee and at least 51% ownership by Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area residents.
The scope comprises 587 units of #1/0–#4/#2–#2 ACSR wedge tap connectors (stock number 37-6377), 445 units of #3/0–#2 ACSR mini-wedge hand-installed connectors (stock number 37-6692), and 16 units of #1/0 copper run to #1/0 copper tap split tinned wye connectors (stock number 37-6760). All items must be delivered by October 16, 2026. Bidders must provide LSB certification, completed signature pages, manufacturer and catalog numbers, and lead times. Pricing must include all costs with FOB terms at Memphis, Tennessee, seller's dock, freight prepaid and allowed.
Responses must conform to provided bid forms without exception, and quotes will be evaluated blind. MLGW retains inspection, rejection, and return rights at the seller's expense for nonconforming goods and reserves the right to cancel for lack of funding or prior to shipment. Standard purchase order terms apply, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws, nondiscrimination requirements, and foreign adversary certifications. Sellers warrant goods conform to specifications, are of merchantable quality, do not infringe patents, and comply with applicable regulations. Payment requires a minimum of 30 days from invoice receipt or goods acceptance, whichever is later. The purchasing contact is Lucy Vick-Watson at MLGW's purchasing department.
